Frankfort, Ky – An early look into this year’s Coffee House.
Kentucky State University annually has an event that not only brings the student body together
but the entire KSU family.
Shannon Brogan, a mass communication and journalism professor teaches Communications
304, Oral Interpretation, a class that puts on a show that blends comedy and art. This show
helps showcase the hidden artistic and comedic talent that has been hiding on Kentucky State’s
campus.
Professor Brogan has consistently instilled in her students the belief that this show is more
theirs than hers. They are the ones who must take the reins and steer the show in the direction
they desire.
The class is in the early stages of production, trying to map out how they want their show to look
and feel. They are currently practicing and rehearsing the potential spoken words that could be
a part of the show.
The students overall feeling about the class and the show is joy and uneasiness. Many students
are stepping out of their comfort zones, but they are all eagerly anticipating the outcome of their
hard work.
KSU 2024 coffee house still has much work to do. With hardwork, teamwork, dedication, and
thorobred love, the 2024-2025 coffee house class intends on putting on a great show in November.
