Frankfort, Ky — Upon entering a typical room at Kentucky State Universitystudents are greeted with a clean and organized space that is fully furnished, and
then students decorate the room to make it feel like home.
The rooms are designed with functionality, providing enough storage space forpersonal belongings and ensuring that students have a dedicated area to focus ontheir studies.
The KSU Student Government has been doing a thing called “KSU Cribs” where the students have the opportunity to show how they decorated their room in order to feel like home.
“Being able to have creative freedom to decorating my dorm gives me the ability to focus on my studies comfortable.” Said Ms KSU Erica
Hosting this event during homecoming week, shines light on those who have gotten fully adjusted to becoming a thorobred.
Many rooms feature large windows that allow plenty of natural light to brighten the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
SGA did this by showing students different things they could add to their rooms to try to have a better chance at winning the competition.
“I have been planning on decorating my room since this summer so when school started I new it was time to put my creativity to working.” Said Joshua
Merriweather.
They have videos of them doing room tours on their Instagram @kysusga.
While people are showing their rooms, they are explaining why they are bringing things, whether that means bringing personal photos, posters, or comfortable throw blankets.
They are showing stuff around the room and letting the people know what it really means to them and why they brought it to Kentucky State. They are telling things they like and things about their life while showing off their room.
