Frankfort, Ky –– On November 2, Kentucky State University women’s volleyball team delivered a dominating performance for senior night, sweeping LeMoyne-Owen in three straight sets: 25-19, 25-9, and 25-18.
The match was led by standout performances from the seniors, who were honored for their contributions to the team. Timaia Sugars, the starting outside hitter, led the charge with a powerful 9 kills, while Randi Neal dominated the middle with 14 kills. This spurred the team forward while the team collected 46 total kills in this game. Amber Gregory, the starting setter, also had a great game. Controlling the court with 27 assists in three sets making all the right reads in this matchup. Last but not least defensive specialists Saniyya Harville and Alacyia Smith, who played libero, made critical defensive plays throughout the game. They both combined for a total of 19 digs this game, Saniyya with 10 and Alacyia with 9.
This victory marks a strong finish for the Lady Thorobreds, as they continue to showcase the teamwork and leadership from their seniors.
