FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State woman’s basketball team falls short against Trevecca Nazarene at home with a 71-61 loss.
Khalia Bryant recorded her 500th rebound. She ended the night with a double double making five shots from the field for 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds which lead the team that night.
The Trojans got to a fast start with a 11-4 lead but towards the end of the quarter the Thorobreds rallied together to cut the score down 18-14.
In the second quarter Bryant grabbed a offensive rebound with it being her 500th.
The Thorobreds asserted their dominance in the second quarter going on a 20-3 run making the score 33-26 at half.
Coming out of the half the Trojans come out making things competitive cutting down the Thorobreds lead. Making it 53-50 entering the 4th quarter.
In the closing minuets of the game it was the Trojans that pulled away making the score 71-61 earning the victory over the Thorobreds.
Kentucky State will started their conference play on Saturday, Nov. 16, against Fort Valley State in the Exum Center.
