Frankfort, Ky – Recently members of the Kentucky State University football team visited seniors and middle schoolers at Carter G. Woodson Academy. Senior Defensive Linemen Bobby Hayes, Izaya Clay, and Sophomore receiver Kedrick Glasper share positive takeaways they have had in their college experiences. The students were eager to ask questions about KSU and college in general. Sharing how they are ready to go. The students shared the standards and values of their school and how Carter G. molds them into respectable young men. With the suits and ties they wore daily; they represented their school well.
When talking to the middle schoolers they were excited to see college athletes and ask them about sports. Asking questions like “Are you going to the NFL” or “Are you in the NCAA game”. They were really happy to see the football team. They were all in the gym sitting when the players got to speak for a second. The staff was very nice as they offered meals to the players for their time. It was a great experience with the students of Carter G. Woodson and the players would want to come back anytime they’ll have them.
