Frankfort, Ky — This is also the final home game for the Men’s before the Fall
Semester ends. Despite Albany’s 7-point lead in the 1st five minutes, K-State managed to come back and score a few, but Albany managed to be in the lead 17-10 for the 1st 10 minutes of the 1st half.K-State would then come back and score 13 points against Albany.
However, the Rams throughout the whole 1st half, arguably had the better defense, and managed to pace themselves as well against the Thorobreds. When the 1st half was over, the score was 38-26, with Albany in the lead over K-State. With the start of the 2nd Half, K-State knew that they had to play catch up if they wanted any chance of beating Albany.
Out the gate, the Thorobreds were playing much better defense than they were in the previous half, and managed to score more points out the gate, but Albany still managed to get 13 more points, compared to K-State’s 10 more points.
Story continues below advertisementAlbany would manage to just score points after points against K-State, that made
the student section upset several times, especially when an attempted slam dunk was blocked. After it was all set and done, Albany took home the win in an admittedly
disappointing 80-48 final score. While this may be the last home game of the year, from what I saw of both the Men’s and Women’s team, it shows that K-State is filled with very talented players.Just like with every game, you can’t win by yourself, you have to win as a team. The Thorobreds have a lot of work that still needs to be done. With hard work and dedication anything is possible. Staying together as a team is what’s most important. Keep control and keeping a positive attitude.
Have a great holiday break and Go Thorobreds !
