Frankfort, Ky — While Spectrum hasn’t been around for long. Shining a spotlight on Kentucky State’s Spectrum group and how they make the Kstate family whole.
Spectrum is a Pro-LGBTQ+ group that involved the members sharing their stories about their interests and life, as well as be about sharing positivity
and expressive freedom of self. This group is not just for those apart of the LGBTQ+ group, other memebers can be declared as an ally. Showing support to those that are LGBTQ+ that they will never be alone here at Kstate.
Every member of Spectrum was
welcoming and warmly, and it showed that despite we may have different interests & hobbies,
attraction to different (or same) sex, we’re all human, and we’re gonna have different backgrounds and stories about our lives.
I say this because regarding the events that have happened in November regarding the election
results, I feel that now more than ever as students, as members of K-State, and as people in
general, that we need to band together and help those that we care about when they’re at their
lowest, stand up for your beliefs, never let anyone tell you otherwise about yourself, and just try
to find peace among the people around us. And that’s what Spectrum brings, unconditional love
and support, and freedom to be oneself, unapologetically.
