FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky State University geared up to host an important meet and greet event for social work majors, staff, and students. This event was scheduled for Tuesday, February 18th, and was held in Hathaway Hall Auditorium, Room 123, starting at 9:30 a.m.
The purpose of the meet and greet is to create a space where students can connect and network with faculty and peers in the social work program. It aims to build a strong community and provide attendees with valuable insights into the program’s offerings, upcoming events, and various opportunities for involvement.
Students who attended were greeted with a welcoming atmosphere where they could discuss their academic and professional aspirations. Faculty members were available to answer questions and provide guidance on coursework, internships, and career paths in social work. The event also featured a brief presentation on the department’s mission and goals and emphasizing the importance of social work in today’s society.
In addition to networking, the meet and greet served as a platform for students to voice their ideas and suggestions for the program. This collaborative approach aimed to ensure that the program continues to evolve and meet the needs of its students.
All social work majors were encouraged to attend and take advantage of this unique opportunity to build relationships and strengthen their ties within the university community. The event was a significant step in creating a supportive and dynamic environment for all involved.
