Kentucky State Campaign Season is Underway

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Election season for the Kentucky State University Royal Court and
Student Government Association is taking place this week, beginning March 24 and
concluding March 28. Candidates are running for various positions, including class
government, royal court, and student body leadership.

Candidates launched their campaigns with Midnight Madness on Monday, where they
placed flyers throughout the student center to promote their platforms. Additionally, a
meet-and-greet was held in the student center, allowing students to visit candidate tables
featuring giveaways, campaign information, and raffles. This provided an opportunity for
students to engage with candidates and learn more about their messages.

Throughout the week, candidates are hosting free events for students. These include
interactive activities such as Field Day, where students can participate in various games,
and vision board workshops to help visualize future plans and goals.

On Wednesday, March 26, a campaign parade will took place on Main Campus Road,
beginning at noon at Exum Gym and concluding at Hume Hall.
