The Academic Honors Convocation is set to take place on Thursday, April 17th, at 10:00 a.m. in David H. Bradford Hall, bringing together students, faculty, and families to recognize the achievements and accomplishments of the Kentucky State University students. This year’s event speaker will be Aniyah S. Chambers. The overall idea and purpose of the convocation is to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the students who have excelled in the academic year. The awards will be presented to those who have maintained a high Grade Point Average (GPA). This event is key to continuing to encourage student success in the academic aspect and to promote the same results academically for the semesters to come. Attendees can look forward to a morning filled with recognition, motivation, and a sense of unity and pride as they come together to honor and be honored by the achievements of their peers and themselves. This event not only highlights individual successes but also emphasizes the importance of education and perseverance in achieving one’s goals and overall it shows how the students here at Kentucky State University work so diligently to upstand the overall success in academia and how the university is taking strides in the right direction to maintain the morals, values, and principles of being a school that produces scholars. The attire for the event is business professional. So, men can wear black khaki/dress pants and for the women, a black dress or skirt and/or a white blouse would be fine. All are welcome to attend this celebration of excellence and achievement in education for all of the students who earned it.
