FRANKFORT, KY Sept. 8-12 — In-person voting, which many students at Kentucky State University characterized as a smooth and unforgettable experience, concluded an exciting campaign week. Students cast their ballots for a variety of class and executive posts in the William Exum Center’s fourth-floor ballroom.
Events, social media interaction, and on-campus outreach were all part of the campaign week, which gave candidates a chance to speak with students directly. Strong turnout and a sense of pride among candidates and other candidates marked the end of the voting process.
Winners of the 2025 Student Elections included freshman: Sydney as Miss Freshman and Deuce as Mr. Freshman. Joel Taylor II was elected SGA Freshman President, with Essence Kinsey as Freshman Class Vice President and Dymon Barrett as Treasurer.
Sophomore class Bailey Ford was elected as a senator, Edniya Robinson as treasurer, Sydnee Harris as secretary, and Chase Neyland as vice president.
Junior Class Josiah Burton, Sydney Shelby, and Salematou Diaby will be the Junior Class Senators, while Jai’ah Woodson will be the Treasurer.
Senior Class Mya Counts was chosen as Senior Class Vice President, and Trinity Alexander was elected Senior Executive Treasurer at the senior and executive level. Antayna Epps will be the Executive Chief of Justice, and Gabrielle Nunley will be the new Executive Secretary.
