FRANKFORT, Ky– KSU Girls’ Rock kicked off the semester with their first Meet and Greet event on Sept. 9. This event was organized by the KSU Girls’ Rock E-Board to introduce themselves and their purpose for being involved. Many ladies got the opportunity to connect, build sisterhood, and learn more about the group’s mission. The event had a great turnout of young women engaging in icebreakers, sharing stories, and creating new bonds that will last for a lifetime.
One highlight of the night was a giveaway, where member A’yauna Raglin won a $10 prize. When asked what she believes makes a good teammate or sister, Raglin responded, ” Mutual respect and support is the key to being a good teammate or sister.” Her words reflect the very reason KSU Girls’ Rock is here today.
The meet and greet set a positive tone for the school year. Many girls left inspired, motivated, and seen. The event reminds students that KSU Girls’ Rock isn’t just a group, but a family that uplifts each other and those around them. With many events planned for the semester, the girls look forward to moving onward and upward!
